MS Amarco Nile Cruise

The MS Amarco Nile Cruise  is a Five-Star Deluxe Nile cruiser that is handicap accessible.

It was built in 2002 and began operating in 2003.

The ship underwent extensive renovation in the fall of 2008.

There are 49 total cabins on the boat including 4 Junior Suites that can be converted for special needs travelers.

The Junior Suites feature roll-in showers.

There is also an elevator that can access every deck of the boat.

The standard cabins are 215 square feet with the Junior Suites being a little larger.

The ship features non-smoking dining and lounge areas, a swimming pool, sauna, work out room with exercise equipment and even a jogging track.

The cabins are fully air conditioned with televisions, DVD players, mini bar, mini fridge, and private safes.

Also, the bathrooms feature showers and bath tubs and include hair dryers in every cabin. The dress is casual to country club casual. Ala carte dinners are also available as is laundry service.

2 -4 Day / 3 Night Aswan to Luxor Cruise

Day 01 (Friday)

Staff will meet you at your hotel, the airport or train station for transfer to the cruise. Check in by noon today.

Lunch on board then spend the day visiting the Temple of Philae, the Aswan High Dam, and the Unfinished Obelisk.

Return to the ship for dinner.

Overnight Aswan (L, D)

Day 02 (Saturday) Breakfast on board while sailing to Kom Ombo.

Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo.

Return to the ship for lunch while sailing to Edfu.

Upon arrival in Edfu visit the Temple of Edfu.

Return to the ship for dinner on board.

Sail to Luxor. Overnight Luxor (B, L, D) VISAS: All travelers to Egypt must have a visa.

Citizens of most countries can obtain visa on arrival.

Please let us know what passport you are traveling with and we will confirm whether you can get yours on arrival.

Day 03 (Sunday) Breakfast followed by a visit to Luxor’s West Bank, where you will visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.

After touring return to the ship for lunch.

Following lunch visit Luxor’s East Bank, which contains the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. Return to the ship for dinner.

5 Day / 4 Night Luxor to Aswan Cruise Day 01 (Monday) Staff will meet you at your hotel, the airport or train station for transfer to the cruise.

Check in by noon today. Lunch on board. Following lunch visit Luxor’s East Bank, which contains the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor.

Return to the ship for dinner.

Overnight Luxor (L, D) Day 02 (Tuesday) Breakfast followed by a visit to Luxor’s West Bank, where you will visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon.

After touring return to the ship for lunch.

Sail to Esna, cross the lock and continue sailing to Edfu.

Dinner on board.

Overnight Edfu (B, L, D) Day 03 (Wednesday) Breakfast then a visit to the Temple of Edfu.

Have lunch while sailing to Kom Ombo.

Evening visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo.

Dinner while sailing to Aswan.

Overnight Aswan (B, L, D) Day 04 (Thursday) Breakfast then visit the Aswan High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae.

Following the tours return to the ship for lunch.

Farewell dinner.

5 8 Day / 7 Night Luxor to Luxor Cruise Day 01 (Monday) Staff will meet you at your hotel, the airport or train station for transfer to the cruise.

Check in and have lunch.

Afternoon free to enjoy Luxor.

Dinner and evening entertainment.

Overnight Luxor (L, D)

Optional Sound and Light show at Karnak Temple $40 per person. Day 02 (Tuesday) Breakfast then visit the West Bank of Luxor including the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon.

Sail to Esna while having lunch. Continue sailing to Edfu during dinner.

Overnight Edfu (B, L, D) Day 03 (Wednesday) After breakfast visit the Horus Temple in Edfu.

Return to the ship for lunch.

Sail to Kom Ombo and continue sailing to Aswan during dinner.

Overnight Aswan (B,L,D)

Day 04 (Thursday) Breakfast then visit the High Dam, the Pharaoh’s granite quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae.

Return to the ship for lunch.

Free time to enjoy Aswan.

Dinner.

Overnight Aswan (B,L,D) Day 05 (Friday) Breakfast with the morning free to enjoy Aswan or take an optional excursion to Abu Simbel to see the famous temples of Ramses.

(extra cost of $250 per person).

Lunch on board.

FREE BONUS:

Afternoon sail on the Nile by felucca (native sailboat).

(Please note that these boats are solely wind powered, if there is no wind this will not operate).

Dinner.

Overnight Aswan (B,L,D) Day 06 (Saturday) Breakfast while sailing to Kom Ombo.

Visit the Kom Ombo Temple.

Lunch while sailing to Edfu. Continue to Esna, cross the river lock.

Dinner on board.

Overnight Esna (B,L,D) Day 07 (Sunday) Breakfast then visit the East Bank of Luxor including the temples of Karnak and Luxor.

After the visit return to the ship for lunch.

Afternoon free to enjoy Luxor.
